Dad joined Mum - can't say how much I hurt at this time, but now they are together.
2 Comfy armchairs sit side by side
1 for him and 1 for his wife
together in heaven forever they will be
Until they are joined by their family
Cuddle up tight Mum and Dad - love and miss you always
Mum was known to all her family and friends as Cathie.
What can I say - the best Wife, Mum and Grandmother anyone could ask for.
Like most Mothers she lived for her family and would have done anything for them. She was very strong willed and if she had something to say she would have said it - like it or lump it, but thanks to her and our Dad, Wullie, they have made us the people we are today.
Mum suffered from Multiple Sclerosis and was looked after by our Dad for many years. Dad did a wonderful job at looking after Mum 24\7 with no help from anyone, he wouldn't have had it any other way, but near the end I think Mum knew he was starting to struggle. Then one night she fell asleep, just as she had wished for many times.
We all miss her greatly, but none moreso that our Dad - he talks about her all the time and calls her his "diamond" - shine down on all of us Mum, we miss and love you.- all the family.

A SPECIAL PRAYER FROM OUR LORD ABOVE.
I'm writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God above.
Where there's no more tears or sadness, there's just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy because I am out of sight
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
And I will stay beside you, every day, week and year
And when you're sad I'll still be there to wipe away your tears.
When you think of my life on earth and all those living years
Because your only human their bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry it does relieve the pain
Remember there wouldn't be flowers unless we first had rain.
I wish I could tell you of all that God has planned
But even if I were able to, you wouldn't understand.
When your going down the street and you've got me on your mind
I'm walking in your footsteps and only half a step behind.
And if you feel a gentle breeze or wind upon your face
Remember it's only me with a loving and soft embrace.

Light a Candle
Light a candle for those we mourn.
Into a new life they will be born.
Do not look for them at the gravesite.
They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.
They have gone to a new world where there is no darkness, no pain.
Their light and essence will always remain.
Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place.
They are free to travel through time and space.
When we think of them, they are near.
When we sit in a beautiful garden. Their voices we hear.
When we listen to a divine symphony,
We close our eyes, their faces we see.

The first candle represents our grief.
The pain of losing you is intense.

A GOLDEN CANDLE
This poem is all about a golden candle
It's flames flicker oh so bright
And keep burning well until morning light
I light it at night..
And first thing at dawn
This Golden candle is in loving memory of you..
To remember when you were born
For my love i remember it all you see
And this candle will burn bright for eternity
The flames will burn bright
With such warmth and glow
Why God took you my love we will never know
If the wind blows the candle out
Remember my loved one..
